Acceptable use policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This policy sets the rules for sending messages and calls through Ringvance. It is part of our Terms of Service. Following it protects your customers, your own ability to text and call reliably, and the telecom carriers and platforms Ringvance depends on. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates it.
1. Consent, every time
You may only message or call people who have given the consent required for that channel: for texts and calls, that generally means the TCPA's prior-express-consent standard; for email, that means following the CAN-SPAM Act. You must be able to show, if asked, when and how that consent was given. If someone opts out on any channel, you must stop messaging or calling them on that channel immediately.
2. No purchased or scraped contact lists
You may not upload, import, or message a list of phone numbers or email addresses that you purchased, scraped, or otherwise obtained without each person's own consent to hear from you specifically. Every contact in your account should be someone who gave you, directly, the consent described in section 1.
3. Prohibited content
You may not use Ringvance to send or leave messages or calls that contain or promote:
- Sexually explicit content
- Hate speech or content that attacks a person or group based on a protected characteristic
- Alcohol sales or promotion to anyone who has not verified they are of legal drinking age
- Firearms, ammunition or weapons sales or promotion
- Tobacco, vaping or illegal drug sales or promotion
- Any other illegal content, products or services, including fraud, phishing, or deceptive claims
4. No unauthorized automated calling
You may not use Ringvance, including its AI receptionist features, to place autodialed or prerecorded/artificial-voice calls, including AI-voice calls, to anyone who has not given the consent required for that type of call under the TCPA. Call recording must stay off unless you have a lawful basis to record and, where required, you give the other party an audible disclosure that the call may be recorded.
5. Rate limits and review
We and our carriers may apply sending-volume limits, require additional carrier registration, or review your account's messaging patterns to protect deliverability and catch abuse. Sudden spikes in volume, high opt-out rates, or spam complaints may trigger a review or a temporary hold on sending.
6. Enforcement
A violation of this policy may result in a warning, a temporary suspension of messaging or calling features, or termination of your account, at our discretion and depending on severity. We may also be required to report certain violations to our platform provider or to telecom carriers, who may independently restrict your numbers or campaigns.
7. Contact us
